Lee Ann Claypool, the secretary for Ohio C.O.P.S., became a survivor on April 29, 2001, when her brother Lt. Chris Claypool (Columbus Division of Police) was killed in the line of duty. As Lee, her parents, and her four other siblings began the difficult journey through grief, Lee was grateful for those C.O.P.S. members, particularly Linda Pope, who came along side to walk with her and her family through the pain to healing. Lee feels blessed to be able to ‘give back’ to other survivors wherever and whenever she can. Lee makes her home in Marysville, Ohio, and she loves being an elementary principal to 285 kiddos as her day job. In her free time, Lee enjoys singing in her church choir, playing the piano, enjoying board games with family and friends, decimating the other team in Euchre, and reading.
